1. What does HBB stand for and what is it?

HBB is an acronym for Healthy Back Bag. The Healthy Back Bag is an ergonomic bag with a unique shape. It isn't quite a backpack or a purse. We are a niche, and that makes us one-of-a-kind!

2. What makes the Healthy Back Bag® healthy?

The problem with most bags is that they pull away from the body causing you to compensate by leaning and twisting. We aim to create a bag that looks fantastic and that is comfortable for everyone to wear! The teardrop shape distributes weight ergonomically throughout the length of the bag, rather than pulling from one point on the shoulder. The bag does not pull away from the body, it contours to your back, whether you wear it on one shoulder (either shoulder) or cross-body. The more places the Healthy Back Bag® touches your body when you wear it, the lighter it feels! It becomes part of you and encourages good posture by molding to your shape and contouring to your back.

3. Where are the Healthy Back Bags made?

AmeriBag Inc. has been located in Kingston, NY and committed to quality for over 25 years. The Healthy Back Bag® and other AmeriBag products are designed locally and manufactured globally. If you would like to purchase a bag made in the USA, please visit our CUSTOM USA Collection at the link below.

4. How do I return my order?

5. My zipper is broken, can I get it fixed?

We are sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your bag! Unfortunately we no longer offer a repairs service, however, we do offer a Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not normal wear and tear. Things that void this warranty are holes in the outside material, signs of abuse or repairs and/or modifications done by someone other than AmeriBag Inc. or an AmeriBag authorized agent. If you’d like to send your bag in for an evaluation for a possible replacement, please click on the link below for further instructions.

6. How do I measure my HBB?

When measuring your HBB you want to start by laying your HBB face up and as flat as possible. The “face” of the bag is considered to be the Velcro flap pocket (Classic HBB) or the split magnetic flap pockets (HBBevo).

Height: Start at the top narrow part of the bag and measure straight down the middle “face” of the bag to the bottom. Remember to measure seam to seam.

Width: Seam to seam, run your measuring tape right underneath the flap pocket(s).

Depth: Flip the bag upside down and poke out the rounded “corners” and measure the widest part of the bottom of the HBB.

Baglett: 8" x 4.5" x 3.5"

Healthy Back Baby Bag® /Carry-All Bag: 21.5" x 13.5" x 8"

*Remember all dimensions are approximate. If you are measuring in between two sizes, go with the smaller size. Material can stretch over time.

7. How do I wear my HBB?

The Healthy Back Bag can be worn on either shoulder or in a cross body fashion. When wearing your HBB on your shoulder, make sure the double- main zipper is facing forward. Adjust the shoulder strap to a comfortable length, which will still allow you to easily take the bag on and off, but will also allow the bag to hug your body. When wearing your HBB cross-body, adjust the shoulder strap to a longer length that will allow you to take the bag on and off your body with ease. The double-main zipper will face your back and the top of the bag will lie towards a shoulder. The bottom of the HBB should sit right in the small of your back. 8. Is my HBB machine washable?

Possibly! Over the years we have offered many machine washable materials and collections. Our machine washable materials include Distressed Nylon, Hemp, Vintage Canvas, Poly Suede and Cotton Canvas. Our Jazzmin and Earth Collections are also machine- washable.

Contrary to popular belief, our Microfiber material is not hand or machine washable. This would include the Classic Microfiber HBB, the Microfiber HBBevo and the Catskill Collection. The Microfiber material should not be submerged in water as it may cause water staining. We only recommend spot cleaning.
